My turkey is making her self at home it's the first and only turkey I ever had
Gorgeous! Too bad I'm not allowed to have turkeys.

thank you....I love this PA forum everyone here has been a big help. Now I just discovered my unknown chick is not acting rigjt and I don't know why. She is eating and drinking plays for awhile then lays down and looks like she is breathing hard. Checked for pasty butt she had a little but not blocking her vent, cleaned her all up and she seems to be pooing fine. I guess just keep an eye on her.
How old is the chick? They do fall asleep a lot in the beginning and just plop anywhere. It can be a bit disturbing and look like they're dying if you're not familiar with that.
13 of my duck eggs are fertile and looking good, the eggs MC gave me are looking great, I picked up my new roosters (silkie and frizzle) yesterday, and last night I found out they'd discounted the grown-out silkie chicks at TSC... Between the chicken train and my incoming orders I'm going to have so many birds. Never mind the two goats I am getting in April. @dheltzel is right, though. I can quite whenever I want. @Redwolf141, do you mix anything with their water? Sugar, apple cider vinegar, vitamin E, or electrolytes? I don't usually but times helped with my struggling chicks in the past. Gives you a little time to figure what's up and the peep a little extra energy to try to kick whatever's going on.
Wow that's a lot! I'm jealous! Congrats on your new additions!
My chicks turn 4-week old today. Everybody doesn't look the best at this time, but still cute for me. Two legbar girls are developing crests. Brownie has some gold color around her neck. Maybe she will look like red brown ameraucana? Bear the Rhodefelder: Brownie: Dolly the Rees CCL: Molly, Penny, and Ruff-Ruff:
They're still so cute! It's so fun to watch them grow....
Love this pic! They look very cozy in their beard nest!

@Blarneyeggs .see this has already been answered, but thought I'd add that panting along with pasty butt would lead me to think the brooder may be a bit too warm. Thank you for the response.....................I thought of that so I put the thermometer in and it was only 72 degrees out in the play area and under the MHP it was 88* they didn't seem to hot. Today they seem a little better.
