Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

adorable....How does one keep heating pad from turning off.?? I love this idea...But all my heating pads turn off with in 15 min

You have to buy one that has an 'always on' feature... Sunbeam makes one that is very popular. I don't have time to link now, but if you search MHP or mama heating pad on BYC you should find a huge thread about it :)

edit - look at me hastily replying before seeing that you've been answered three times over already, lol

what is the chicken train?

The chicken train is a person that collects chickens ducks etc. along a route across Pennsylvania. Other people meet up with the train conductor, and either take a bird or two, or give them another one. Sometimes three birds jump off, and the receiver will deliver them to others.

You have to look for a heating pad that does not turn off. You can private message Sally sunshine, and she will tell you a few brands that don't turn off.

Just in case you missed the explanation :) Chicken train rolls through this weekend!

If you can't find anything locally, the only other methods you have are shipping. :)  There is a huge variety of breeds and varieties available for purchase all over, however you will deal with shipping-related declines in hatch rate. You are putting them under a broody though, so as long as she does her job well, you should be fine. If it were me personally though, I would not put expensive eggs under a first time broody, at least not without having a 'bator running as back up, just in case

Uht oh! I'm in trouble now! Just scrubbed and fired up my incubator. :)
