I've lived in Perry County for 20+ years. Grew up in Taylor (northeast PA). I used to have pet chickens and ducks when I was a child. Although I've talked about getting chickens for many years, I probably wouldn't have taken the plunge if a darn RIR hen hadn't wandered into our yard and adopted us. No one in the neighborhood claimed her, and I felt sorry for her, knowing it would soon be winter. I'm soooo glad - I, my son, and my husband are thoroughly enjoying our girls.

Morgantown here- in Berks, but close to Lancaster and Chester counties. I have some mutts I am willing to trade or sell, and will have more in spring. I'm also willing to spit orders of meatbirds with anyone close who want to!
