Do u know that kibble a and bits dog food my mom buys that for her two little dogs and there teeth are so rotten and there breath is enough to make u gag and I buy my own dogs food and she gets the blue buffalo and sometimes wholesomes but being that some of that blue buffalo has been on recall I have been getting the wholesomes. this time I just bought the Rachel Ray but I won't be getting that again because it's got nothing but artificial dyes to give the food different colors it stains my dogs teeth so I have to brush them every once in a while. I pay for my own chicken feed and meds. And then I buy all of my dogs food plus her dog license and i paid for her shots and to have her fixed
I had someone that thought their dog's demise came a bit early due to eating IAMs that was produced in china....I dunno.....but something to look into.....

Well folks:

Two items in the word of chooks:
1. Today is chook appreciation day.....http://www.upc-online.org/respect/
2. When I came home from work, one of my CCL girls is sleeping in a nest box....(She's the alpha of the crew)...I believe she's gone broody for the second time....as fate would have it I have a bater full of eggs for her....

How many eggs should I shove under her??? 6,8,10???

Haha! I thought you'd be tired of me asking, and that you've probably got enough on your plate right now with the busy hatching season,. Also, my husband planned this vacation for us sharing a house with his friends and their significant others. I may be needing a road trip for an hour or so! I'll be calling you if I don't make a connection this weekend.

Give her 6, then you can transfer more under her a few days before hatch or just graft 5 or 6 more of the newborns to her after they dry off.
If you are separating her so other hens aren't able to get into her box you can increase the number, but since the bator is up and running anyway you can keep a closer eye on progress and not worry about broken eggs.

If anyone needs any advice on dog food, please pm me. I used to practically research it! I have a wealth of knowledge on it that I'm happy to share! (And I would totally believe that IAMS caused an early demise)
