Popeye is a surprise. She has really changed this past year.
I know "eat", "drink", and "more" are common to teach babies before they can speak. I taught her my signs back then. Last week I made a big deal about real American Sign Language, and now she is all over it!
Why do we need more than one sign language anyway?

I know only three signs..."yes", "no", and "bathroom"......everything else can be figured out.....lol

Hello PA people! I'm at camp so just checking in on mobile once in awhile. Having fun with 4 dogs...daisy and bailey are golden retrievers. Fun dogs and best friends with our 2 dogs. They are with us for a week while their people are at the beach.

excuse me....the beach is OCMD... or Bethany/Dewey.....its no beach unless there's a bit of brine!!!!,,,,,

Hi everyone! I'm just checking in with all my fellow Pennsylvanians. I received my chicks in the mail from McMurray on Wednesday and so far so good. I'm a little worried about the one chicks I named Rocket as she may have a umbilical infection. But she's still eating and drinking and doing her thing so maybe not.....
I'm really enjoying being a chick mom a even though it's a lot more work than I thought it would be!Looking forward to the Westmoreland county fair to see all the animals, especially the chickens. Has anyone in my neck of the woods entered their chickens? My son really wants a Phoenix rooster for 4h next year. This site has been sooooo helpful. Have a great day everyone!

Howdy from the other end of the state....hope your babies do well....

I moved 41 chickens from my largest hoop house into their permanent breeding pens today. And moved 40 younger ones into the hoop house for growing out. I can't believe how nice they all look, raising on grass is really good for them.

Duckling will have a nice conversation with you. She can teach you all she knows. But when she asks for juice, don't give her anything in a growler.
Then again. She will sleep better!

Neighbor's cat just chilling with the chickens. I stopped chasing him out. Mostly he hunts squirrels. Sometimes when he's wild he will chase the girls but mostly it's peaceful

my neighbor had a big tom cat that stood down a fox,,,,,,nose to nose...literally, then the fox went to the bird feeder to eat sunflower seeds off the ground.....I asked her not to feed birds...she agreed, then kept filling the feeders.....
