Good afternoon all:

Well, when I pulled into the driveway at 4:30p, I scared off a fox....and somehow he got my two young birds(a CCL boy and a Welbar girl)....he somehow got them through the 2x4 welded wire with out leaving any feathers behind... found some feathers in front of the other pen that shares one side of the fencing....really disappointing....will be looking at a 6mos collie pup on Saturday....maybe more dog power will help....

Jewel was there, where they always hang out but Blue was nowhere to be found. I checked under the turkey coop and in the pen since that's where we found Jewel. Turns out, he must've ran from the rain and wiggled his way under the screen porch and popped out the other side when the rain ended. He was never out front before so I think he just panicked and parked his butt beside the house. I actualy had to find him instead of him running to me like usual. He was thrilled to get back out back with Jewel though lol.

why wouldn't i be?....been real busy here. Bug is napping, but have to get her up in a few minutes. we have been doing crafts and works sheets...her numbers/letters...stuff like that. All fun though!!:weee she really enjoys it. Our pirate ship and dinosaur...she did the dino all by herself!

Sorry to hear you had another attack... we lined the lower 18"- 2 feet of our runs with a narrower gauge wire in addition to the chain link to prevent some of the 'reach through' risk. Bunny wire has a closer gauge as it gets closer to the ground. It might be something to look at if it is heavy enough for you. Or even a few strands of barbed wire...

Congratulations! Are you happy with the color? That's the first egg from one of my olive egger chicks that I've ever gotten to see lol

I was expecting a little darker but I honestly didn't really know what to expect lol. I'm glad younlike the color. I know you didn't want blue so that worked :) Hopefully the others start laying for you soon. They should. I'm pretty sure they were all from the same hatch.

Yeah all the girls in that coop plus the ones I got from you were from the EHAL so They all should start soon.

I cannot believe the losses you have endured!
we have every other critter and then some up here & there you are...wherever you are, sorry..just so flipping sorry.
We have bears come into the yard...though for SURE, something would happen..not wishing it or anything, good grief NO.....I really hope another canine smell, presence will help.Truly!
You don't know how he got to them?
I don't want to sound like a smart A**, but have you thought about electric fencing?...my gosh Stake.
