No injuries that I can see but she may have been pecked on the head hard or something. It seemed like her left leg wouldn't work and her head was twisting back to the left. I think she's going to be ok though. She looked like she was dying when he brought her in. I used an eye dropper and gave her a little water and she seemed to perk up so I gave her some selenium, vitamin E, and a drop of vitamins. She seems to have found her balance now. She's not walking around but she's more alert, sitting on a towel under a heat lamp. Her head is a little wobbly but she's ok. I'll post an update later. Hopefully, she can go back out with mama either this evening or in the morning.

hope all turns out well. Vitamins can do a world of good for the tiny ones.
No need to say, keep an eye on her, maybe she just sprained her neck..MC gave good notice on the more severe issue.

I put my lamps away, thinking I didn't need them. Guess what? Need them and can't find them. Today alone I lost power probably 10 times. It was quite annoying!

My garden has not done well this year. I finally gave up on trying to get the grass out since it wasn't doing me any good. The flock members have gotten in there too. The three pumpkins I had are pretty much gone now. I got two tomatoes.

Add a good layer of chicken "nure" for next year.

I had a cat like that.
The garden was well fertilized, and unused for a year or so. I just stink at farming with so many distractions.
It is super to hear you are super!

It's so scary when you find one of the little ones not doing well. Hope it pulls through!

Has anyone ever used Moyers Chicks in Quakertown? They will be very close to me when I move. They sell mostly meat birds and commercial layers. But I needed meat birds, it looks like a good place to start since I can pick them up whenever.

I've bought their red sexlinks in the past (called brown egg layers in their site). Really good production birds, their progeny are still in our laying flock. They have a very limited selection of breeds, but are good at what they do have.
