I'd like to find the one your talking about for $1,100. All the ones at DuBois mall were all over price and not even just a plain Jane one that we would have to modify was that cheaper. A coop (which I agree is very cheaply made) was around $2000. We went over there yesterday morning and looked at them, the Shed guys and at Lowes.

I just remember it being a decent sized place, and there was a gravel yard attached. Good idea too. They can make extra satisfying your need for leveling the building, making a walk way, etc.

When I look it up it comes up Clymer. I'm about an hour from there. May still go take a look. Living near Punxsy you think I'd be able to find a decent one or Amish built one some where near by.

Near Huntington may be too far for you but across from Martin's nursery/tree farm, there are nice sheds, I believe Amish built and decent prices. My parents bought one from them a few years ago and they delivered and set up. I forget how much it was but they said it was a great price, much cheaper than all the other places and very sturdy.

Hubby feels terrible since he just had to let me know that the second of our two new-to-us birds has just flown the coop. I feel horrible, but know that my intention was to care for these birds who'd been neglected, and their wildness was not our fault. I hope that they are okay...

A friend at work got 3 chicks from me, an Olive Egger Legbar, a Blue Egg Black Sexlink and a Welbar. The OE is laying:

Here are the birds, the one that laid these eggs is in the middle:

I'm very impressed. I had a few of these olive eggers I was trying to sell, but I think I will put them in the laying flock for next year's eggs instead.

They may still linger, you never know. I'm sure you tried your best. :)

They look great! The Black sex links are impressive already. Excellent at foraging and not too skittish. Both TSCs still do not have any Corid. Two other local feed stores are out of it too. Finally remembered the other feed store in Doylestown (it's always more pricey), and thankfully, they have it. So I can pick it up after work. Hope it's not too late. :fl

It is off on a side road between marion center and Clymer. Not cheap but good quality, Mennonite folks.
They may have an idea on where to find used sheds. We are 13 miles from Punxsutawney and a few years ago they moved a shed from New York to our house for just under $400.

LJ:

Don't feel bad.....keep some feed and water available....they will only go as far as they need to find food and water....my two cents...
