All it takes to make these lil' ladies happy are some tomatoes and grass clippings.

Thanks, I will get some Corid today. Are suggesting that based on her behavior, or on the poos? I actually was out there with her and saw her poo. It was perfect green little pile. Not sure if poop is always bloody with cocci, or just sometimes.

I'm basing it on the way she looks, hunched down, fluffed up, and tired looking. I've had some look like that before without the bloody poops and they recovered just fine.

Thanks! Little bugger will have to wait until tomorrow though. Local TSC didn't have any in stock, and the next closest one didn't have any in stock either. :barnie
At least I was smart enough to call the second store before I drove over there...

Agree. Coccidiosis doesn't always lead to bloody poop. It's easy and safe to treat, so better be safe than sorry. If you were near me, I could give you my corid since I have no chicken now. But you are at least 3 hours away.

Thanks, I appreciate the thought!

Easter egger pullet? Not sure about the black one with big comb.

Agree on both!

Awesome! My husband put the clippings on the edge of the woods yesterday. The turkeys thought it would be an excellent idea to take a dust bath in them. I'm amazed they weren't green today!

I've heard that a temporary fix is to sprinkle a little powdered milk over the food. I've done that in the past until I could get some medicine.

Until you can get her medicated I would give her some where quiet and feed her some scrambled eggs...some vitamins wouldn't be a bad idea. Nutri-drench or chick saver would work. This would give her a boost until meds are available

Thanks, I did try to separate her, but she was freaking out and calling her siblings in the most pitiful way. I let her back with them and put the scrambled eggs near where she has been camping out. Hopefully she will eat some and hold in there until tomorrow.

Any suggestions on where we can get a shed/barn that's premade? We want a sturdier one that doesn't cost a fortune. This seems to be the route we are going to take to build the chickens another temporary home for the winter. It will cost about $600 to fix up the barn that they are in now. We are going to be tearing it down in the spring, so that's just a waste of money. We have looked at already made chicken coops and they seem outrageously priced. We can build one for them, but we are running out of time to get it done.
Oh and we live in Central PA. Thanks!

we have named some of the chicks Ozzy and Sharon as well as Johnny and June.

:thumbsup
I have; Sheryl Crow (deceased), Melissa Ethridge, Bonnie Tyler, Stevie Nicks, Reba McEntire and Steven Tyler for the mutts/original flock.
The Pekin pair is Casey and Jojo (Jodeci) and their daughter is Janice Joplin. Aretha Franklin is the Muscovy.
Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton are the older Silver Pencil Rocks. The newest ones aren't named.
