Cute, any warm back will do! LOL

One of our silkie girls used to sleep on the back of white rock cross roosters, and she was an adult at the time! But those two big roosters probably made a very warm and comfy bed for her. Since we got rid of them she is forced to sleep on a roost like everyone else! LOL

I had to share this picture because it's just silly. Mama chicken hatched out two turkey poults. Turkey is broody, and sits on the coop floor. Now the turkey poults were walking on top of the broody turkey like she was part of the furniture...

That's adorable! I'm only getting one or two turkey eggs a day now :( 3 hens have gone stubbornly broody and they're all cramming in to one nest. I wonder if they would work together to raise any babies? In a week or so, I may put some chicken eggs at lockdown point in there with them to see. I can't break them unfortunately.

Sucky day on the bird front. Lost one and packed up two to bring to their new home. Only got 6 eggs total from everyone. But the goats are doing amazing and my daughter's team placed 2nd in science Olympiad and are going to state. She had 5 categories compared to everyone else's 3 or less and got 4 medals including a 1st and 2nd!

sorry bout the birds. But great job by your daughter!!

I keep tossing them out of the nest but they're like boomerangs running right back to it. All my cages are being used as brooders atm lol

Looking like next Friday will work well, though if you get 6 this Friday I can do that also. Brownie won't care as long as she gets chicks.

If you need to borrow a cage i can spare a dog crate that may work for the turkeys.
