Anyone know of a local source for Lavender Orpingtons? I met a poultry entrepreneur at the Farm to Table event in Pittsburgh last weekend who was pretty excited about my chicken train hobby. I told him I'd email dheltzel's website to him, but he is also interested in finding some lavender orpingtons.
I have seen them posted on Craig's list at one time out of NJ

Candled tonight and found that the duck eggs are finally fertile. All 8 had some veining! Got about 20 more to go in tomorrow. Too bad these will not be hatched in time to hitch a ride on the chicken train. Maybe some future run.

Who here was wanting Welsh Harlequins? Cindy?
I'm going to try vent sexing these. Ducks are easier than chicks.
when and where does the chicken train travel? And do you have white muscovys for sale? Have my heart set on them since motorcycle chick told me I may have purchase them from tsc. I looked into the breed an fell in love. My ducks did turn out to be pekin. Their legs and beams are orange now.

Pekings are pretty funny too but you definitely need some Muscovy in your life lol. They are my two favorite ducks. Looking forward to Muscovy/Peking mixes from my blue and jumbo!
