Hey guys, I've been having issues with this site recently. I remember weeks ago, when I performed an update on my phone, there was a message about this App being obsolete or something. It said that the next update, this app wouldn't be usable, I believe (as I recall). Anyone else having lots of glitches?

8 baby turkeys hanging out in the chicken train hotel for a few days... they are much noisier than chicks. I don't think I've ever had turkeys on their own without chicks to brood with. These guys have food, water, warmth, cool and they are still peeping like crazy. I think they just want me to sit with them, lol.

Lol, yes, they can be very noisy lol. Especially when they're in a new place. Did they figure out the food and water ok? Maybe I should've sent a chick along with them.

Enjoying a little field trip to the outdoor crate. They can just squeeze through the wire, but they are mostly content not to... and I have three little poultry catchers for the ocassional escapee.

I bet they're living it :) (kids and turkeys)

Love garlic -- but this will be pungent. Lol

Oops lost my quote

Yes, it is. That's why the crackers are so important lol. We actualy preserve the cloves in vinegar and the longer they're in there, the less pungent they get.

I've also been meaning to upload this picture. I thought both of my green layers were taken by the racoon the other week, but apparently I had more than just the two green eggers in the flock. I got this super dark green egg the other day. Here it is next to a typical green egg. Can it get double colored in the egg making process? It also had patches of little granules on it. These can be scratched off easily so they are on the shell, not part of it. Just calcium deposits? Something else?

@dheltzel I'm thinking one of the other girls I got from you must be the remains green egger, but I'm not sure which. The two that were taken looked just like the lighter chicken (first picture) but had smaller rose? Combs and bigger crests. Can you tell me what breeds I have here? I think the second picture (darker bird) lays dark brown eggs.

Last year's olive eggers were 3/4 CCL and I never could tell them apart. The second picture is a Welsummer, she is the dark egg layer.

Since your "Legbars" are laying green eggs, you probably need some pure Legbars for the blue eggs, right?

Love the green egg!

Both the Bielefelders and Welbars have terrible fertility (less than 25%), so I have not been offering those eggs for sale. CCL eggs I have a lot of, and they have decent fertility. I don't have any cochins. If you can work out a meet with @emorems0
then I will send some eggs back and you can see what you get.

Meetup is scheduled for Tuesday, just working out the details. Will you send me a PayPal invoice?

My coops are full. My coops are full. My coops are full. My coops are full. My coops are full.

You know how hard it is to leave your place with chicks and eggs for other people and none for me? LOL My coops really are full though.

I do have three of blue egg black sexlinks, so I'm good for blue eggs. What color eggs do those silver CCLs of yours lay?

My coops are full too and that (apparently) doesn't slow me down. You must relinquish this delusion of "control" and go with your gut feeling that you need more than you have now (this is just about chickens, no metaphorical implications).

You mean the Silver Welbars (dark brown like Welsummers) or Silver Ameraucanas (baby blue, like the blue egg sexlinks). CCL's are all "gold", but cream dilutes gold to make it more like silver. Genetically, they are very different but they look similar (especially the roos, the hens have salmon on their chests of they are silver, but cream dilutes that away also).
