Oh my, I feel the same way!!!!!! 16 chicks running around , with 2 mommas, 2 broodies and 1 who is looking suspicious. Ahhhh!!
 
Just a quick update, the barred rock babies from @yoopergirl1211 are doing great. My older girls have finally started laying eggs again, about 4 from 7 hens a day. The rooster we're hoping to keep is still being nice to us, and starting to mate with the hens, although it is hilarious watching him try to mate with the older girls who then get mad and start chasing him away! The one hen that was acting strange, has finally sat down to brood on some eggs. But I don't think they are fertile yet so I'll have to keep trying some eggs until they show veining. Or maybe I can get some fertile eggs from @yoopergirl1211 ?

I'm hoping to add some ducks next year... I'm glad yo see you are busy offline. Life is much better that way! I still have time to check in during the week because of my lax work schedule. You were very right though. I do love those little turkeys! I only let them out when I and/or the dog are outside. I WILL NOT let that stupid cat kill them for sport.

I hear ya! I have 4 full fledged broodies too. I'm tempted to give some to the old silkie, so she can check it off her bucket list. :old

We have room! I have 1 Rouen duck and 1 Buff Saddleback Pom Gander (Both Young still) that I've been looking for a couple of buddies for! How soon would you like my boyfriend and I to come down and grab them? I'll also pm you just in case you don't get this right away

No, not Toads, but I am REALLY interested in the make up of that breed. I've been planning this meatie project for 2 years but kept losing my Delawares to predators/integration issues. I finally have a productive flock and this is my first hatch. Delaware roo over dark Cornish hens (and I have 2 Delaware hens mixed in too - can't tell the eggs apart).
