I thought I should say hello...! I'm in NY but PA is just across the way from me (I can see it from here) and many memories are in your fine state.

I'm in the northwest end. Kinzua is one of our favorite places to go!

My Roo ratio is declining (freezer camp) sorry to any that oppose. I just found a Vet in York Co. that sees chickens it is Patton Veterinary Hospital in Red Lion. Just thought I would mention it to all of you so that if anyone needs a Vet. they can know that there is one in the area.
I am still looking for a few birds if anyone has any. I have my small Bantam that needs a Roo. Also my White Plymouth Rocks need a Roo aslo.
I am slowly trying to get things together to build a new chicken houes and runs for them. I am planning on having 5 seperate areas for my different breeds. I currently have 2 Roo's that do NOT get along and the must ne housed seperatly or they will tear eachother apart. I need to find out how to remove spurs, one of mine has 1" spurs.
Anyways I really just wanted to let everyone know about the Vet.

Thanks for the info! I also found a great vet in Lancaster. It is Smoketown animal hospital and the vet's name is Dr. John Hall. I have been to him twice and he has cut me a break on cost both times. With this last trip he also refered me to a vet named Dr. Kelly and she is with Penn State University and is a poultry vet located in Manheim. She runs a poultry lab there and is wonderful and patient to talk to and is a wealth of information regarding how to care for your flock with wellness and with any illnesses!!!
