Looks like photo shop or a panoramic photo fail.

Alright... so things have gone from bad to worse. I'm okay, kidney stone finally passed some I'm back in school, and the ladies are laying which is great, but we've got a bigger problem.

I'm hopefully going to be getting Klaus a Klausette soon, but I just lost my two roosters. I thought it was bad when Mississippi went, but no. Today I went out to the coop with Keith and we found a very injured and exhausted Hei Hei, apparently he managed to fight something off and we brought him inside.... he didn't even last the night. I'm so freaking upset right now.

I've lost more chickens than I care to even think about right now. The little one I had inside before passed in her sleep after going into a sleep coma thing for about a week. Einstein didn't make it after that. And now the only rooster we have is bloody Newton and he's not gonna do much good. I'm getting a RIR roo next week if things work out but that's not gonna do much good with my SLW and GLW girls.

Honestly I'm trying not to panic as I try and find some more wyandottes.

I’m so sorry. Predator loss is so defeating. Unfortunately, once they make a kill, it’s really hard to keep them away.

I'm loving your pictures! Beautiful!

I'm so sorry for your losses. They really are so hard to handle :( If you're set on a Wyandotte, you could try to get on touch with Nittany Wyandottes to see if they have any roos available. I'm not sure how far you are from State College but that's where they are.

I'm glad to hear your kidney is better, but so sad to hear about your birds. It's such a heartbreak to lose them. I am not far from Berks county, and I have several young Roos you could have, if you like.

@Blarneyeggs Love the pics! Are the white ones Orps? And the Black ones are BCM, correct? My BCM/CCL mix from Stake (:() just went broody. I have to break her soon though, I don't want to be bothered with chicks, now that it is getting cold.

Two of my silly turkeys are out tonight in the rain. They get out of the fenced in area during the day, but they can't figure out how to get back in at night, to go into the coop. So in the trees they roost. I got the other girls down, but I couldn't get the last two. :barnie

I can only hold a 10' pvc pipe and a flashlight straight up in the air for so long. I use the pipe to try to nudge them off. I couldn't get the last two to budge. It's getting so chilly tonight.

My neighbor asked me if I would take in her chickens, since she has some ongoing health problems and may be moving soon. I think there is only 4 or 5, and they are about 3-4 years old.

My only concern is that she keeps a light on in her coop at night, I think it might be a heat lamp. The good thing is, it's not super cold right now, so they should have time to adjust. Also, there are more birds in my coop this winter, so it should be warmer overall.

I have a really beautiful cockerel you can have!! He is a olive egger. His sister just started to lay. His mom was a CL and his dad is a Wyandotte cross. I’m located just over the berks line on 222. He is the bigger of the two in the front. I’m going to keep the smaller Icelandic.

Not something I wanted to open up the coop to this morning... Flock was cooped up yesterday due to weather and me not feeling well. My Pepper has plucked herself so much that she has bald spots around her chest and neck. :( I'm watching her preen and feathers just keep falling out. So they will be out for as long as I can manage today. *deep sigh*

We are currently putting their new converted shed-coop and larger run together and I'm really hoping we can get it done this weekend. They'll be so much happier with the extra space and cozy shed.
