That is an incredible picture!

Yes, I want to find a house at Port Matilda area again. State College houses are too expensive, and they only allow 4-6 chickens. I can have as many chickens as I want at Port Matilda.:D

It'll be nice to have you back in the area again!

Still no idea who is laying the small pink egg. My little sapphire laid a white egg yesterday.

Unfortunately we had an incident Friday morning after I left for work. There has been a changing of the guard and the young boys challenged the rooster and won. So now Batman (who is on the chopping block list) is now afraid to leave the coop. So he had come out and was in the yard when I left. Well I have a feeling he got cornered as he and 3 girls got over the fence. Unfortunately not knowing they were out he let the dogs out. It didn’t go well 3 dogs and four chickens and only one person. The Sapphire was the last rescued and her side is pretty tore up. I separated her and sprayed her with blukote but she hasn’t really eaten or drank since Friday. I’m hoping she makes it :( :fl

:(:( She didn’t make it through the night. So frustrating to hatch them and have this happen right when they should be laying regularly. Sigh.

So far the new Hoop Coop looks like this:

Not much progress since Spring time, but a far cry from what my poor babies are living in now...I’m naming the below coop “Raccoon Motel”. We havent been hit yet...but it’s only a matter of time before the coons find the holes between the tarp and the hardware cloth.

I’m not proud, but this is indeed the eye sore in my yard currently.

Thanks, Aurora. I'm so glad that I can find a job and come back to the area my self. :celebrate

I see everyone is doing great here. You have your silky program going well. If I can find a new home with large lot at Port Matilda, I may get some silky chicks from you. State college has "hens only" restriction, so cannot have rooster there.
