I spent roughly 3 thousand on my FUS cat. He kept blocking even on prescription food and even after PU surgery. I finally found the right prescription diet for him and had him for 11 more incredible loved filled years. My vets were pricey but the Brandywine SPCA has an affordable and good clinic.

On sadder news... I have 3 cats. One was rescued when he was a newborn and mama abandoned him. He has ALWAYS been sick his whole life (he is 7-8 years old now). It has been one thing after another. I've spent thousands on him. I can't afford it anymore, and he just came home this morning after being out last night (he refuses to come inside), and it looks like he injured 3 of his paws. I have NO clue how. He is all muddy, and smelly. I need to give him a bath and inspect his paws. I absolutely cannot afford to take him to the vet at the moment. I'm just hoping they're not too bad but he can't really walk. I hate to give up on him after all this, but it may be time to let him go... :hit

So sorry, I hate to see any animal suffering. It sounds like it may be kinder to euthanize.

Thanks... I just got home from the vet’s. The doc said that Bo’s cancer/immune disease had progressed and got in his paws. And that the infection was so advanced that it was the best choice to have him put to sleep. I don’t know how it could have happened so quickly... he was a bouncy happy kitty two days ago and now he is in a box. But I am glad that nothing bad happened to him like I worried, and that he is no longer in pain. He was my sweet boy... I hope he is playing in the clouds with his friend, Tummy.

:hugs Sorry to hear about the sad news. The good news here is that I'm getting those goose eggs, I'll probably have an unboxing video when I get them (the check is on its way down to Maryland).

I also picked up a free hen at the feed mill the other day, she's really pretty but I'm not exactly sure what she is and Susan's having a hard time figuring it out as well. I'll get a picture hopefully tomorrow when it's not rainy and bleh.

Yes please, lets move on to happy chicken news! I look forward to pictures of the pretty hen. Really wish we didn't have a limit of 12 chickens (even though we have 18)

And the hen saddles are on their way, will hopefully be here by Saturday! Cannot wait!

I hope you like them and they look good on your ladies! I put white elastic on yours instead of the black that I usually use since you said that you have lighter colored girls :)
