Yesterday I was excited to see that after two bad hatches, Aretha finally has a baby.

If I didn’t post a few days ago, I do expect at least one more to hatch. I was able to candle during the day, so it was hard to actually do, but I saw 2 I felt good about.
Today I was able to get this picture of baby poking out. I know it’s not clear, but it’s still cute.

Oh, please be careful :/ We got lucky and school was cancelled and county chorus has been postponed. I'm a little worried about hubby though. He has to be at work at 3. It's a 35 minutes drive on a good day, down the mountain. Then he doesn't get off till 11. I told him that if it's too bad driving within the first couple blocks that he has to come home and call off :/ He's always confident in his driving but I worry.

@fisherlady I hope you are safe out there today too. Thinking about you and your family today.

Glad they cancelled the school stuff for you. Remind your hubby that he needs to evaluate the safety based on what he would allow you and the kids out in, not just himself....
And thank you, mom cancelled her morning errands list due to weather, nothing is more important than keeping everyone safe at home. We are occupying ourselves with closet cleaning and baking....something very therapeutic with that sort of activity...

I told him not to risk it if it's too bad. Thankfully, if it's really bad tonight, he can go to my parent's house for the night instead of coming home since they don't live far from his work.

I'm glad that your mom cancelled the errands. It's not worth it to go out if you don't need to. I was thinking about doing some baking too. Warm the house and fill it with sweet smells.

@HeartoftheMatterFarm I hope they get everyone home safe! They really should have cancelled. I was surprised that ours cancelled as early as it did (last night) since they usually push it and do early dismissals.
