Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

As much as we love fishing, we have never tried ice fishing..would love to some time!
I do love winter, even though it argues with the old-body more now.
We aren't expected to get too much, but then again..'they' have been wrong before:rant..
Your girls look very pleased with their new view!! Maybe the extra light will add to the egg cartons, one can only wish:fl
We had gotten the most major yard chores finished up earlier, but didn't get to re-mulch beds.
Will just add that to the ever growing Spring 'to do' list.
Once the weather stays steadily cold, we have to trim back the fruit trees and dog wood.
The fruits need more than just a trim this year. The "dwarf" trees look more like standard fruits because "someone" doesn't like to cut back anything...HE has finally come around to listening to logical thinking ...;)

We started ice fishing last year. This is our second year and we bought a larger ice hut. We fish on Lake Erie, and some nearby lakes/ponds. It is scary walking on the ice! But the fishing is pretty good, and if you have a good hut and a little heater, it's comfortable for hours of fishing! We have caught many large perch, and I was lucky to catch a nice lake trout! Will be targeting some other fish this year since we are learning as we go! :)

Well, today is a crazy bird day. Aretha just made a beeline for the coop. Baby Face is missing. She looked all around in there, called for him (mama Muscovy do have a noise), and walked back to her nest by the back door. :barnie I should have put the plastic back up yesterday!
I don’t see anything as far as prints though other than hers and mine.
I found one egg in the nest box. The pullets are still under a year, but aside from an occasional duck or Cindy egg, I’ve not been getting much since before the other pullet was taken that day.
Cindy was hiding. I thought she was dead. Then she yelled at me, so I thought she decided to brood. Nope. She feels light, but her crop has food. She’s able to stand because Maaco scared her bad enough to jump out of the box she’s in. So, whuzzup with hiding?

Oh no! I hope Baby Face is not the lone duckling??? :hit

Cyndi looks fine, but hasn’t pooped. She is (obviously) free in the kitchen. I have eggs and water for her. I’ve not seen her eat or drink.

I’m posting all this here until I can get an idea of how to better search the symptoms.
She has pooped. It’s white. I don’t see anything (parasites) in it.
Her body score is a 2, empty crop, weight (she is a RSL) is 2lb, 11.4 oz. So she isn’t on death’s door. She has interest in what I’m doing in the kitchen.

If you're comfortable force feeding her, take some the scrabbled eggs and blend it with a little water and vitamins if you have any. Use an eye dropper to feed her. That way you can get some food in to her. I've used this numerous times in the past. Sometimes, it's all they need to kick start them back in to eating.

I found the duckling. It froze to death in the bucket feeder.
The duckling went in, the food shifted, and it couldn’t get out.
I did know it was a possibility, but I totally forgot. I don’t think I’ll use auto feeders around babies again.
You know I feel awful about it.
