Had to deal with the wind damage to my main coop roof this morning... it only took the Tweedles one day to find a way to escape through the hole in the roof. The Tweedles (Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum) are my blue egg laying black sexlinks from @dheltzel and they are ESCAPE ARTISTS who can also fly over an 8-9ft fence. They are real trouble makers and so much harder to catch when I can't just chase them back into a chicken run (but they DO lay beautiful eggs). I have my main coop chickens contained in the big coop until I can finish getting my old run dismantled and new run put up. Glad I had an extra scrap of roofing in the garage that I could clamp on there for the time being.
I'm going to be looking to pick up some chicks on Easter break... dark dark brown egg layers and green, maybe a different blue egg layer too. What have you got?
@Auroradream26 @dheltzel or anyone else who's hatching and along my route (Allentown or Pittsburgh, along the turnpike)?
