I had an unwelcome guest today. He got one of my young English orpingtons. Of course one of the few blue pullets. Of course hr couldn't have gotten one of the numerous little cockerels that are running around. He didn't have a happy ending.

I’m taking advantage of the warm night, and we’re sleeping on the front sun porch. It’s just too muddy for camping.

It is a beautiful evening. I turned off the heat lamps in the brooders in the screen porch and moved the quail back out to their summer hutch. Hopefully I'm not jumping the gun on that. Speaking of quail, I set 98 eggs the other day....

speaking of which...I must be going...have a great night all. Enjoy these temps. I know for this area it is supposed to drop a bit over the weekend. Hey, can't complain though, we are getting closer to more constant nice weather...we all need to keep those fingers crossed for this season...need it to be a bit less wet than last year!!

It rained several times last night, and got rid of almost all of the remaining ice patches.
Unfortunately, I was listening to rain, and had to go to the bathroom. I couldn’t move though.

I feel so bad. I have been busy feeding baby goats and delivering babies. I have not candled any of the eggs in the incubator. Hoping to do it tonight or tomorrow when I take the turner out.

I need to find my big water holder. These ducklings go throw water like crazy.

Need to fill a Turkey incubator and a quail incubator.
Either willing to ship or deliver.

Waiting on a message from Dennis on Facebook about palm eggs but otherwise waiting to fill incubators.
