My parents live out in New Mexico. I am hoping he is doing ok too. I know he is at work right now. He came in to see his brother in March. He will be in when the funeral is planned.@HeartoftheMatterFarm My condolences to you and your family. I hope your Dad is doing OK.
I just got a message from my dad this morning that his one brother, Bob lost his battle to cancer about 15 minutes ago.

I love it when flock integration works out well. The two broody Mamas are doing great. The white turkey seems to be particularly good at chasing away anybody she doesn’t like around her peeps. Of course we don’t want fights in our flocks, but it’s great to see the Mama’s get in a tussle to establish their chicks place in the flock.

So cute! I really need pet turkeys! Can you keep turkeys in the same coop as the chickens, with the same feed, perch, nesting box, etc?
That's awesome! My broodies tend to lack protectiveness around here.
You can as long as there's no blackhead in your area. I routinely keep chickens and turkeys together. The only difference is that turkeys need a higher priority free for the first couple months of their life. Chicks can share it with no problem though. You also need to make sure you have enough turkey hens available if you keep a Tom because he to may try to breed your chickens and kill them from his weight.
