Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

We did fine here. The sheer amounts of water that have been coming down are insane though. The creek down in town is full and is starting to back up into people's yards. If we keep getting rain, they may be concerned about the dam down in town again, just like last year with all the rain. The kids were delayed 10 minutes before the school would even put them on the busses because it was storming so hard. It seemed almost as dark as 9:00 at night when it was only 2:30-3! Kids were sharing videos of their bus rides home with all the water on snapchat (DD was showing me). The pond next door was about to overflow it's banks/dam. It has an overflow pipe that was flowing as fast as it could but it just couldn't keep up. It's downhill from us and just goes in to the woods thankfully. Here's the neighbor's pond...

The heavy rain wasn't a bad thing for everyone apparently. I caught these two in the backyard in one of the puddles, producing hundreds of eggs! We thought the eggs were yarn strewn in the yard at first. Of course, DD insisted that we collect some of the eggs and bring them in to hatch....so now we have an ice cream bucket with toad eggs in the kitchen :th
