I had a wooden coop that I built but it leaked and ruined the wood. I am in the middle of switching to a plastic shed now. It depends on where you get your shed from. If you get a pre-built wooden shed, I'm sure it won't leak, so that may be your best option? It was too pricy for us to go that route, otherwise we would have.

Hey Dennis, I’d love some more CCLs, and I have some neighbors asking for some layers also. I’d be happy to reimburse you for whatever they give me for the hens. Do you have any of the hackle Roos left ? My main Roo got snatched, and I’d love a pretty boy.
 
Hey guys, I have to catch up on here again, I’ve just been loving the opportunity to work outside in this weather.

I have a question for you all. A neighbor’s dog came through and killed two chicks that my broodies had been raising. I’m not sure if any of the other couple of chickens that have been snatched were by this dog also. The neighbors were very good about it, and have offered to pay for the chicks. Do I charge them for the original price they sold for from @dheltzel ? Or do I ask for more since I have time and feed into them? Sadly, they were both two Lavender Orpington or Ameracaunas, not quite sure.

Any advice is appreciated.

Im sorry that some one would do this to you or to anyone for that mater, but their are people that are just a piece of shit I call the scum of the earth. I have cameras all over my place put one up and see if you can catch the they will be back

You also! We've had pretty much continuous thunder for the past hour but very little action. It got extremely dark and foreboding for a bit but it's brightened back up. Tornado watch for us till 10 pm and flash flood watch till tomorrow evening. Looks like most of these storms are skirting right by us. We can hear them but they're not actually hitting us.....yet.
