Do you guys have favorites in your flock?
My son’s two favorites are Rosie who is still laying at 7 years old and prettier than ever with glossy red feathers and Grey who is a huge English Orpington (thank you ...you know who you are!) my son is about 5’7 and 155... this hen is about twice the size of my other girls!

It’s snowing!:thTemperature will drop to 20s tonight. my chicks are 8 week old. Will they be ok in unheated coop? Or I need to run an extension cord and heat for they?

I miss having an incubating app. The new phone doesn’t support Hatchabatch. I remembered to add a note on when eggs were set, and I am eventually going to dig out an old phone, and use that for tracking in the future.
I dropped an incubator egg, but it still seems to be alive. Duckling identified life in all six of the incubator eggs last night, and I don’t candle broody eggs.

How long have they been out there? They should be ok as long as there's no drafts. I have young ones outside too that I just moved out on Monday. I'm not worried :)

I got tired of entering all the info every week for hatchabatch. I went old school...I have a notebook on top of my incubator with all the info and only set on Sundays lol.

How this differs from the one I bought two years ago is beyond me.

Regardless, I cannot recommend it for a beginner, but I love the size, and the fact that the temperature is accurate. I hate that it’s loud, and doesn’t have a turner. I’m wondering if I need to buy one more incubator. This time, I’d get a real Brinsea with a turner. Now that I have broody machines, I only need to set a few eggs at a time.

The girls are a few days ahead of the incubator. Will there be a problem integrating the newborns? In my mind, the newborns can keep up with the older siblings by morning. What say you?
