Those bantom ameraucanas are gorgeous! I just cannot have roo, or I'll get some for my son.
Just want to say I have two black Ameraunana's from Dennis. They are my friendliest birds -- at 5 weeks old, when I open the door to the coop they march right up to me and lightly peck at my fingers. I adore them.

Yep, they start sitting as pullets... If no chicks by the weekend let me know and I can give you a few SPR tuesday if our hatch works out, unless you were wanting a different breed, RK may have day olds you could use also.
Since I’m getting rid of the Halloween hatch, I’m less hesitant about math. I’m afraid I’d buy out the feed stores. If I do RK, I’ll add a few ducklings though. I know ducks can raise SPR, I want to see SPR raise ducklings.

Anyone reading this that is new to birds!!! Unless you’re talking Muscovies (they are less into swimming, so dry tummy), do not let waterfowl incubate chicken or turkey eggs! The humidity is too much! However, waterfowl eggs can be incubated by anyone.
The humor here is that I had Pekins actually brooding their hatch mates.

All my Legbars, Welbars, and one olive egger from him are very friendly. Three were lap chickens, who will roost on me for long time. They are 10 weeks now, so at little flighty as teenager hormone kicked in. I expect they to calm down again in 2 months. Even they don't fly to my arm anymore now, if I take one to put on my arm, she will stay and talks to me. Very sweet girls. :D Dennis did great job to improve their personality.

I have BC Marans from Dennis, 8-10 weeks old. 2 girls, 1 maybe, 3 boys. They are fun and while I wouldn’t necessarily call them super friendly, they are kind and not flighty, which is great for a Marans. The smallest boy, Hosanna (formerly Anna😊) is my pet project because he is the most affectionate, although I will have to watch out because he puffs his chest at me too. He had his first leash training session yesterday, and for the most part was sweet as you please!🥰

I thought you got all boys. At teenager stage, they don't have their full personality showing yet, especially for boys. Guess you will have to wait.

I thought they were all boys but 2 are definitely girls and one is still difficult to determine. Marans are so hard to sex! I can be patient though.

7 chicks out now, and they are noisily encouraging more eggs to hatch! 1 is definitely pure Jersey Giant, Hero’s and Raven’s (my black JG hen. She’s a gorgeous gal! My other JG girl is blue) Happy Dance!!🥰
