I think possums are cute. We see them all the time here. They sure get fat off of our cat food we leave for the wild cats. Are you sure that’s what it was?

I am not sure what it was. I am mystified. I saw the animal 3 times and still can't identify it. Long slightly striped non fluffy tail, kind of dog like face, rather small, patchy. I guess it could be a very small fox with mange.

Long time no see! Welcome back!

I got a 6’ x 5’ quail pen together yesterday. It was more trial and error than I expected. My big regret is not adding another support or three as I had planned. I might be able to still get them in there though.
Regardless, the quail are happy and I feel better. It’s right next to an outlet for a heated waterer, and if the weather is really bad, it’s next to the cellar door. I can get to them easily. I have a door about two feet up that can open to feed when it snows.

Where did you get your polish? I might want to get a replacement or two. So sad to lose my Frompkin. I did find someone local who loaned me a trap. Also trying to beef up my electric fence, but given the layout of my backyard to my neighbors, there is just no ideal way to cover everything.
