Boy that does look good! May do something for Chris, he has been going through dessert withdrawals since we closed down camp and I am back on my regular work schedule (alternating 48 hr week and 72 hr week). Made him cupcakes Friday and he ate 4 between home from work and bedtime, lol.

:bow:bow:love
That is amazing, so cool and impressive you can do that. I can hand sew, but me + sewing machine=disaster, lol

Same here. I can hand sew, but alwyas get everything messed up for the sewing machine.

You are the queen of enabling!

The trick is not eating all the treats in one day! :lau

It's hard. After several hours of trick or treat, my son decided to make DH and I eat all his candies. We are taling about hundreds of them  Why a kid who doesn't like candy LOVES trick or treat? When he saw someone having dogs dressed up for trick or treat, he wanted to bring his chickens too. I had to tell him chickens are afraid of dogs.

Did anyone have damage overnight? I was surprised that the only thing that broke was the lid on a tote I have out there. It looks like a bomb went off inside. There are pieces everywhere!
I slipped a little here and there, but the chicken water was mostly liquid, and everyone seemed okay. I noticed the quail even seem alright. They seem nervous about the wind, but I didn’t see any feathers ruffling, so I think I have enough cover up for now. When I was coming, they got excited for scratch, and continued to roam around while I was nearby.

No damage here, but yard is a mess already because we dropped 4 large trees Sunday which were standing dead from ash bore beetles and age (oak tree probably well over 100 y/o). Will be running chainsaw all weekend to clean it up.
Friday I have to go to a friend's house with the backhoe and make bases for a shed and garage he is getting brought in in a couple weeks. I already dropped off 26 railroad ties there. Was too wet and cold to do it today.

Can I fill part of the quail pen with like a foot of leaves? I think they will just walk through them, but if they are capable of smothering themselves, I obviously won’t.

I havent had quail but when my mom had them she used leaves. I know the chickens love digging through the leaf piles when I put them in their runs.
