Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I have...not too bad...but then I've had alligator, turtle, conch, rattler, elk, moose, venison, rabbit, frogs legs, escargot, sweetbreads (tripe) have tongue in the freezer...one of these days I'll take the time to cook it up.
I really like the gator and escargot. Rattler is good too, just alot of lil bones to mess around with. The escargot is just a bugger picking all those lil blingers outta the shells with that wee lil fork.

Not sure if I should laugh or cry, since all this stuff considered strange foods, was everyday food when i grew up.
i have noticed that what we ate growing up because it was cheap is no longer the cheaper foods, Chad you are right there's nothing like a good plate of liver andd onions fried in real butter with it's own pan gravy to go with it, kind of pricey now though.
i do remember times when money was scarce and supper was whatever could be found outside the backdoor, ate many onion sandwiches only difference was my grandmother would of never bought bread, not sure she even knew you could buy it.

I should shut up now before people realize i am not really 29.

WOO HOO!!!!

Growing up we had a butcher who delivered on Saturday morning. We were three first stop on his route and he would take orders. Always gave is three good stuff (heart, tongue, pancreas, tripe) real cheap. I never knew better, I thought that was gourmet, not odd. I guess it is gourmet now.
Always ate wild game, have some squirrel pot pie in the freezer,
Watercress sandwiches and fresh trout.... TIM! Of course we gathered it food came from outside, not the store. Still gather dandelion in the spring. (not 29 anymore)
