here is the key....

blue x blue = 25% black, 50% blue, 25% splash
black x blue = 50% black, 50% blue
black x splash =100% blue
blue x splash = 5-% blue, 50% splash
splash x splash = 100% splash

Awsome! So...Hmmm Have Black coppers, have a splash roo? pullet? heck if I know. had a pair and one died. And than whatever hatches from Montana eggs(which were blue over black coppers) Sooooo who the heck knows whats gonna hatch, dang things are so dark lol.

If I were breeding Orps, and I covered a back with a Splash, I would end up wit 100% blues. I assume it works the same with the Marans? Help me out here, Ray...

Geez! Today is Bruce's Birthday and no way to get ahold of him. Computer down and now I can't get his cell. Only reason I know it's his bday is facebook( I barely remember my own birthday)

Do I have to Cull her and my entire flock to be sure i remove this illness, I have chicks in the house!  I am treating them all today.. But after reading more this looks like it will not go away! Ugh this is frustrating!!

I wouldn't do anything drastic yet unless you know for sure what you have! It could be MR which pretty much every chicken has!!
