But if I remember correctly, you can't breed frizzle x frizzle... Someone please correct me if I am wrong. 


You are correct you have to breed them to a non frizzel! If you breed the together or with any other one that carries the gene you can end up with really messed up chickens with no feathers who won't make it thru the winter or any cold weather for that fact! I only will keep frizzel hens that way I don't have any problems know my roos aren't so as long as ensure they aren't frizzel we are good to go!

How are your maran eggs doing? I am at work today, so haven't been able to 'first hand check' on Gracie, just getting reports from my SO... he said she is sitting tight and looking grumpy at him any time he gets near her! LOL
But she is willing to eat the pieces of perch and the millworms he gave her for her nightly treat!
