Yay on the new washer! As to the bags of feed...the mill loads them in my jeep. I then pull the kids sled up behind the jeep..kinda push it out the back of the jeep...tug it down to the coop. Lay the garbage can on it's side to slide the bag in it, and then stand the can up. Thanks. My can only fits 50 lbs. You did spark an idea, though.

I went to TSC this past week, and resisted the chicks. It was hard. Especially when the guy kept putting them in my hands! Fortunately they were closing, and I didn't have time to change my mind. Next week may be different.
After a whole 10 months, and two weeks, guess what I did last night?! LAUNDRY!!!!! A guy came, and put the plumbing in (on my back porch. No steps to go up/down either!!) and I got another guy to trade me a new (to me) washer for my old appliances at my old house! He got the better end of the deal, but I got a bigger washer, and someone else to do the heavy lifting and hauling!!
To make things better, the guy that did the plumbing is offering me his peacocks (IDK if I want them yet), sold 14 dozen eggs for me (boy is my fridge empty now!) AND.... He knows a farmer that sells 100# bags of feed for about $20 in my area! I just loaded up Monday, but I will happily buy another 100# next week for that price! Now if I can figure out how to LIFT 100 lbs of feed! Any hints??
Have them load it into your vehicle with the 'open' end accessible closest to whatever vehicle door you are using.... when you get home, bring a couple of 5 gallon buckets or whatever size bucket you can carry and set it near the door, open the feed bag and use a cut open milk jug as a scoop and divide it up into the smaller containers till the bag is light enough for you to manage. Congrats on the good deal you worked out over the washer and eggs!
I guess he was just predicting for Punxsy proper... no snow there at all today. I left work in Indiana County at 0800 and had to clean heavy snow off of the truck, by the time I got to Punxsy 24 miles North it was bare ground and sunshine! Stupid whistle pig!

Philipsburg, right outside of Clearfield.

I'm very interested! What's the exact price and is it a grain mix or a mash? Sorry for all the questions, LOL. I just paid $97 for 400lbs today. The price went up AGAIN! Heck, I could load it into your vehicle for you if we went the same day, just don't make fun of me if I look silly doing it, LOL.

Day 20 - an early bird. Ironic because the eggs in this little bator had not candled as well as the other 13 in the bigger bator.

Well, back from Chicks Night Out. It was nice meeting FawnGroveChad, and seeing Kiomey again. I must admit that I was a tad disappointed as they cut out a lot of the incentives from last year so... Kiomey won a heatlamp though, and one can never have enough of those. I came home with 6 eggs to set for her along with my Easter Hatch eggs, was a terrible enabler to my sons teacher, and ordered 4 EE pullets. Sooo.all and all a good night, but any chicken night's a good night, right?

Question? I just noticed blood in some stool and 1 chicken is sneezing a bit (so I'm thinking it might be her). However, none of them seem lethargic, they are all pecking away, and eating and moving around. What should I do??

Are they on medicated starter? Do you have corrid?

Great to see the backyarders at the mill!!!! I thought it was very informative and reinforcing. We won 2 prizes too! Awesome night and our 3 newbies are doin great together!
