Well, back from Chicks Night Out. It was nice meeting FawnGroveChad, and seeing Kiomey again. I must admit that I was a tad disappointed as they cut out a lot of the incentives from last year so... Kiomey won a heatlamp though, and one can never have enough of those. I came home with 6 eggs to set for her along with my Easter Hatch eggs, was a terrible enabler to my sons teacher, and ordered 4 EE pullets. Sooo.all and all a good night, but any chicken night's a good night, right?

hey yeah! Great seein ya! I felt a little rushed but had a good time ^^ sad I didn't get more time to chat w/ FGChad! We live in the same town for peeps sake! I'm definitely gonna be at red lion's with a friend (enabler? Me? ) on the 27th. Might make it Bel airs.
thanks again for trying my eggs! I'll split em with ya if ya want also we soyoco people need a dinner/hangout/meetup. I vote Bill Batemans in Shrewsbury! Then we can go to TSC and enable each other

Our First Hatched Baby Blue Maran Day 20 - an early bird. Ironic because the eggs in this little bator had not candled as well as the other 13 in the bigger bator.

Great to see the backyarders at the mill!!!! I thought it was very informative and reinforcing. We won 2 prizes too! Awesome night and our 3 newbies are doin great together!

Thanks Stake, but no. They seemed smaller and lethargic when I first got them. They were mailed on Saturday and arrived on Monday from Iowa.I could tell they didn't seem strong enough to want to eat or drink. I tried syringe feeding honey and water the first day and by the second day too late. They just didn't have the will to survive like the others. I gotta figure out what the the four unknown yellow chicks are with a grey spot on top of head.

Day 21 in 1 hour for the original 7 welsummer and 4 marans. So far 2 marans and 1 welsummer have hatched. I have another 9 eggs from a local friend and they are only on day 19.
