oh and she even lets me grab eggs out to candle them without ripping my arm off!! WONDERFUL broody, she better protect them babies when they hatch though! stinker!

My banties used to sit on my lap, and LOVED to be held, cuddled, and petted. They would just sit there and relax, and their little eyes would close.... and if they heard a chip bag open or knew we had food, they couldn't get on your lap fast enough!!!

No, he loves them! He is good with them. quote name="Sally Sunshine" url="/t/248345/pennsylvania-unite/17610#post_10720877"]awesome!  your dog wont kill them!!

Ya know, my girl is fixated on the chicks...She has been really gentle...I have only one problem...she licks their butts then wants to lick me....

I love cheese too! Omg are you sure you arent my long lost sister?? We def need to get together and I'm sure our girls would have a blast together talking about their chickens and how much they love them? So sorry about the eggs? I plan on setting some from my trio in about a week so maybe I can get you some more?
I have bantam Cochins and I have some eggs set right now but it would be some time til I could sex them for you if you only want hens!
Cool! what colors do you have?

Originally, my thought was that I would love to hatch our own baby cochin bantams so that I can share the experience with my daughter.  It is a truly amazing experience. I miss the buff cochin bantams I had terribly and would love to raise them from right out of the egg and be their "mama".  My problem is, our farm is small, and the neighbors are close enough that if I have a roo crowing (and chances are I will get at least 1), they will fuss. I would have to look for loving homes to be able to survive giving them up.
Anyone have suggestions for me?

I have Mille Fleur Banty Cochin project eggs you could hatch. Take excess Roos to the Auction. If you don't have an incubator, call your local Extension office, they may loan you one for an Embryology Project.

Sally, that poultry show in York is 1 hr. 17 minutes from you. Why don't you go, meet some of us? Load your car with chickens, come home empty handed (except for the Serama Roo I'd be bringing you). I personally would take some Cochins and Serama Hens??????? I'm sooo not kidding!
where is york, and I just gave 2 roos to eli

I cant tell what the sexes are on the next set of chicks yet : (

and I left those chicks in the bator (cochin just for you!) but they are not due till easter hatch

and silkies and they are GORGEOUS babies too!

Of course not! I'm planning on transferring a cage from one car to another that may accidentally have some chicks left in it.
