Very Cute!

Depends on how long it's out for. I know lots of people put blankets on the bators to keep the temp steady...even if it does go out (happened to us during the NYD hatch, it often just slows down the hatch..mine took 3 additional days...and I prolly would've hatched more if I had this thing called patience....

I don't incubate, so this is just an opinion based on another animal baby technique I have used.... I would get some water bottles (like the 16oz size) and fill them with warm water (around same temp as your incubator is running) and place them into the bator to act as 'heaters' for if the power does go out. Between wrapping the bator in blankets and your 'hot water bottles' inside it should help hold the temp for at least a few extra hours. Hopefully you don't have to manually turn the eggs while the power is out because I wouldn't open the bator any more than is absolutely needed.

Just insulate them with blankets or towels as best you can & don't open them. Temp drops will usually just delay your hatch.

The bottles for heat sinks is a good idea if you have room. I run my bators crammed full most of the time. During power outage, DO NOT TURN. You don't want to open the bator because it will let all of your heat out.

relax, unless it is out for a long time, ,,,,keep incubator closed...they will be fine for a couple hours,,,,might delay hatch a day though.

The hot water bottles, the right spot near a fireplace (not too close!) and Hot Hands hand warmers.

Some other ideas to help maintain heat in your incubator and great when you turn by hand is by adding some sterilized rocks,

or even several sealed jars with warm water or small ziplock baggies with warm water to fill the empty incubator spaces.

A full incubator of eggs always helps maintain a steady temperature even if it’s not good for your chicken math!

SAY WHAT!! ?????????????????????????? what storm!
Thanks all for the advice! Told hubs to get the generator ready to hook up if it does come. Sorry, just very attached to my lil cochin banties already and don't want anything to go wrong.
