Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I am a horse person through and through. I just don't have any at the moment.
Being the horse person I am, I named my son Devon after Devon-aire riding attire and Devon, PA where they hold the super horse show. I actually wanted Makenzie's name to be Sorel (Sar-el, like the herb) Morgan - you know, a play on sorrel (the color) Morgan (the horse breed). Yeah, Dewey was NOT going for it.

That's awesome! I live about a mile from the Devon horse show and our barn has a show team that goes to the local day. Do you go to the show and live in the area?

My screen name: Before we moved to our farm, I satisfied my critter need by having 7 beagles. We did field trials, obedience, agility, tracking, and any other activity I could find. I used to walk them all over town, sometime all at once. I was know as the (probably crazy) beagle lady, which got shortened to beaglady when I needed an online name.

I just made a bacon wraped bbq porkloin sunday. It was AMAZING!!

Recipe? Or is it pretty much how it sounds?

My first name is Heather, and ever since I was a little kiddo I have loved Scooby Doo.  I am born in 1977.

This IS a great question. I'm full of Blarney (at least my Dad said so) and Irish too, the egg part is evident.

Although I was born a tad before 77 ;) DH and I are also fans of Scooby Doo. We built the house we live in, and put a secret door behind a book shelf, just because. The Arcitect was NOT on board, but we insisted.

Chicken because this is a chicken website. Cows because cows are the main thing we raise. Ranch sometimes we call our place a ranch even though it's just a farm.

Glad he enjoyed his time. We didn't have one near us- and absolutely! will inbox you the directions. It's actually quite easy.
Thank You!!! I think my fiance will like it (as long as it isn't "digital camo"

), if not my son will.

Wow, great choices!! I love Wheaten Ameraucanas, there's such a dramatic difference between the ladies and the boys

this also makes them easier to sex at a young age!
Are the roos noisier? The one is such a loud mouth compared to all the other chicks. The only birds louder are the ducklings when the chickens hop in the tub and start stealing their food. Although the one duckling has begun grabbing the chicks' tail feathers when they are doing that. So now the chicks sit on the edge and check if the ducklings are asleep before they try stealing the food. They're all BRATS!!!! (but I love them

Oh my. Deployment...you NEED a lotta chickies a to keep you busy and your mind occupied.
I tried that reasoning, his response was he'll make sure I have two or three human younglings (yes we're Star Wars fans) to keep me busy for the next deployment. I almost spit my coffee out at that one.

I have heard a couple of stories behind some of the screen names on here. Anyone want to share how you came up with your screen name?
Mine was easy my name is Eli Weaber and I was tired the night I signed up on BYC, so eweaber is was.
It was supposed to be "BirdsbyGavin1103" but I forgot the s before I submitted it. My son's name is Gavin, he was the driving force behind our flock, and his birthday is 11/3.
Same here.

one of my kids was born in 85,,, come on guys you are really making me feel my age this morning....
My favorite quote is " Growing older is inevitable, Growing up is optional." I've taken that one to heart.

Love the secret panel! I would do that in a second for fun if I had a chance!

Ohh... and the Fisherlady name... pretty simple. DH and I spend most of our time through good weather fishing.... Lake Erie, local lakes and rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. Vacations are 99% likely to be based around a fishing destination and we love it that way.

Nope, I don't live close and I never showed there. I used to show... 4-H and QH shows. I stopped showing around 15yrs old because my mom hooked up with the worst kind of guy possible and that was the end of the horse world as I knew it. We still had my mare, but I only did trail riding. I was thankful to live in an area where I could get on and ride, literally, for the entire day.
