TODAY FEELS LIKE QUITE A BLESSED DAY!!!!

TWO LOTS OF GOOD NEWS!

First- Lil baby Si, the hurt chick I got from TSC.....yeah, well he is showing great signs of improvement today and FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, he ran a little!!! He has barely been able to walk! He's just making leaps and bounds and I think he may have a good chance!!! Also climbed up my shoulder to snuggle in my neck on his own today!!!!!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! And whatever happens now, I don't regret any of this! The other 6 banties I got to keep him company all snuggle with him and cuddle, and I think all this love is what is pulling him through!!!

Second- 3 eggs have pipped!!! TEEHEE!

I swear, guys, i got so excited, I started Lamaze breathing......then I realized it was stupid cuz I wasn't actually giving birth........BUT WHATEVER!!! I just can't believe how wonderful!!

All: Need some suggestions....I have begun letting the girls wander the backyard....well they've decided that my deck/patio is their fav for taking mid-day naps.....I really wouldn't mind if they wouldn't poo all over....it just encourages one of my pooches to eat away....(she'll eat anything/everything)

I'd suggest a fence....but mine see that as a jumping off point. They nap on the patio because of the reflected heat.

Sounds a lot better than my sister with her cats/dogs (that she doesn't take care of). Our parents say "So and so needs to find a new home, you don't take care of her." Then she's all over the care, for a week or two, and by then my parents have relented for the time being...guess who's been taking care of "her" ducks

I don't know if chickens can have spicy peppers. I know the food additive for cats and dogs, to stop poo eating, has capsaisin in it.

Hot pepper is actually good for chickens...so that might be an idea...let the chickens eat cayenne...and then when they poo...the dogs should avoid it.

I know the needle/wedding ring sexing for human pregnancies was spot on with everyone I know that tried it, including myself (so far, according to it I've got 6 more pregnancies to go). I have never tried it on an animal, I may try it on animals I know the sex of first to see how accurate it is.

Ummm...good luck with those 6 other pregnancies...glad it's you and not me.

Screenname explaination ^^; My given name is Ashley and I adored japanese manga and anime when I was growing up. I had several penpals and we all chose character names from one anime called Inu Yasha. I couldn't pick between Kagome and Kikyo. So I sort of combined em xD into Kiomey. I was born in 1987, I just turned 26 yrs old ^^ Hope everyone's having a lovely week.

Thanks for the info on the peppers. LOL I get that a lot when people do that trick on me. Should know if it's accurate for me in about a year, next preg is supposed to be multiples (not sure if it's indicating fraternal twins or triplets....

Never would have thought I'd see someone else who likes Inu Yasha on a chicken based site.

Have you seen the conclusion series? Much better ending, but I've only been able to find it in Japanese, but I personally don't mind subtitles.

^^ I haven't mananged to keep up with it. The...habit... got expensive and then work and college and such took over xD I don't mind subtitles either, though I really enjoyed the english voice actors. ^^ I will have to look it up! ( or borrow it; or have an Inu Yasha/anime party xD)
