HOT WATER NO STRAIN FF VIDEO ~ better late than never! sorry!

WHAT YOU NEED:
5 Gal bucket
Hot water
Feed (mash, crumbles or pellets)
ACV with Mother
something to stir with
Cheesecloth, towel or nylons to cover bucket with

I will add that DH wasn't happy about helping me to video and I also grabbed the first audio on the list!
And DH made me take out the comment about why I don't use whole grains,
you know that whole ever eat corn and see what comes back out? LMAO!

REMEMBER this is the HOT WATER, NO STRAIN method! instead of all that water on top, it settles at the bottom because of the "loaf" on top! so the bottom of the feed will always be wetter than the top and hold some of the brewing juices needed for next batch! Just always leave about 4" in the pot after you pull your feed to use for your next batch!

Yes it needs AIR do not cover, only cover with cheese cloth, towel or pair of nylons! MUST HAVE AIR!

I tried covering the top with the dry food and they still will not touch it,,,,they do belong to hubby after all.....


I am only guessing at 10 roosters and 35 hen's in the pen,,,but remember I do chicken math...hubby just said double that,,,so probly somewhere in between.

not sure how some of you mix this stuff inside,,,i am definitely not a fan of the smell,,,,the hen's though will wait at the door, If i have dry food in the bucket they will stick their noses up and walk away......i am beginning to think the mice are the only one's eating the dry food,,,i literally only put about 2 or 3 scoops of dry food out every couple of days........

should i put more out if they are cleaning up the fermented feed,,,really do not want this sitting out over night,,,just got rid of a rat problem

lmao mix the dry with it, just make the feed dryer the first few times, dry crumbly.

you don't want to over feed them, I feed too much and cut back, their crops DO NOT have to be softball size everyday! I wasn't aware that we could overfeed our fowl, learned that during the processing journey in the thread! DOLP!

I just found a litter of feral kittens. They seem to be around 3 weeks old, their eyes are opened. Free kottens if anyone is looking for a kitten.

I got Heinz brand (unfiltered with mother) at Weis that's what I've been using.
