Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

They did but I believe it gave you the disease . But I do know those that had shot will test positive for the disease now

I got my blood test today. Now I have to wait about 3 days for the results to see if I have lyme disease

. Feel horrible, hip joint pain and headaches for the past month. Got xrays yesterday and going to neurologist on Monday. My poor garden is getting full of weeds

I had my blood work back the next day. I'm surprised they're sending you to neuro and not rheum, but I guess every doctor does things differently. Hopefully it's not lyme, or anything serious. Crossing my fingers for you.

Since I have hip pain since January I got xrays yesterday. For the headaces, a month, she is sending me to neurologist to check everything out. Blood work today to check for lyme. If I test positive, she siad I will need to have another blood test and go from there. Guess she is covering her butt to have all bases covered.

So I have been poking around this Maryland Poultry swap web site and I see this:

"All poultry must EITHER be from a participating NPIP flock OR

birds can be tested for pollorum/typhoid and FREE at our testing clinic on Sunday, May 26th from 10-2. (In state birds are no longer required to test for avian influenza) Please notify me if you're planning on attending the testing clinic so that we can be prepared with enough supplies. Bring 10% of your adult breeding flock (if you have 20 adult breeders, just bring 2) UP TO TEN birds total. If you have more than a hundred adult breeders, you only have to bring 10 birds. If planning to bring chicks to the swap, please bring 10% of the breeder flock up to 10 birds to submit to testing. The testing of the parent flock will cover all juvenile offspring. "

Does anyone do this? Would I just contact a vet about testing my flock? I really want to make sure they are healthy and Happy and nothing to be concerned about. And not sure what this new addiction of chickens will turn out to be, it was just " I was fresh eggs", but if I did decide to ever "Show" a bird or anything like that, I would like my girls to all be the most healthy!! lol that make sense? lol

Well, came home from work this morning with about zilch for ambition... but did cut up some of our processed chicken to be vacuum packed this evening for the freezer.

Then got out the camera and spent some time outside following critters around (and sometimes being followed by the critters!LOL)

Pose pretty boys!

Lounging in the cool dirt...

Watching out for her new charges...

One new generation learning to watch over another new generation...

They boys hanging on the porch

One stink eyed broody

Lounging on the coop porch

chilling out in the dusting zone

a present left for me in the box we fixed up on the back porch for when the birds are free ranging...

community dusting....

Waiting to see what I want to do next

Barred rocks can really confuse a camera focus! LOL

YEAH!!! Can't wait to see the pics! Hopefully they will have GJs size for you. Will tell Radioman when he gets home... he'll be happy, he was glad we found a great home for Green Jeans instead of having to cull him.

We have a broody sitting on a mix of eggs from Grayson here, and a few hatched out by Gracie and Pidgy are Grayson babies also, along with the Silver Pencil Rocks...always cool to see what the mixes turn out looking like.

Awesome pics fisherlady!

Fisher! What awesome photos!
Thanks! I got literally a 100 + shots this afternoon... the lighting was great and the critters were so cooperative. That one Australorp roo is a real poser, and follows me around everywhere when I go outside. Hardest part of getting his pic is snapping before he comes over to see what I am doing.
