Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I am in deep! I have nine pullets in the backyard (2 Rhode Island red, 2 Tetra Tint,1 barred Rock, 1 Buff orpington, 1 red Sussex, 1 bantam auracauna, 1 bantam Cochin) I have six black copper marans coming the 26th, 4-6 olive eggers next week, and 10 more chicks coming mid July (2 blue Cochin, 2 blue Andalusian, 2 welsummer, 2 Easter egger, and 2 partridge marans). I am in way over my head and cant back out of any of these birds. So I am wondering would anyone like any of these fluffy butts? No charge just arrange transportation from northeast Ohio. Let me know if you can help me out. Thanks everybody!
If all you have is 30 birds then you are just getting started.

I cut my flock down to around 70 over the winter & am back up to about 250 now, and that's even with selling close to 200 birds already this year.

Just introducing myself to all of you !!!

Im just starting my attempt at raising chicken for the first time and so far I really enjoy it. So far I have Buff Orpingtons, Coronation Sussex and am going to pick up a couple New Hampshires this weekend. They are all between 3-6 weeks old. Lots of fun to watch them (I originally got into this for the eggs).
I live in Southern Butler County and saw a couple people from around my area.

I can already see how this can be addicting.. Hopefully I will have enough knowledge to help contribute something here soon.

When you are new, you read a lot. For that reason alone, you will be helping others in no time. You may read something new that few of us here know, or you will read something we have forgotten.
Welcome to the chicken madness!!

Quote: Everyone is penned separate by breed. I have a pen of pekins & toulouse (easy to tell apart in eggs & birds), a pen of runners & scovies (also obvious difference in eggs & birds), a pen of calls, pen of turkeys, 6 pens of quail, a pen of LF layers, a pen of bantam EE, a pair of showgirls, a waterfowl grow out pen, a huge brooder with lamp outside, a huge brooder inside, 1 lone free range roo, a pen of young roos for sale & as many smaller brooders or cages with lamps as necessary (had 9 brooders at 1 point in time). I'm building 3 more duck pens (hopefully this week) to separate anconas & rouens that are growing out & give the scovies & runners their own pens. Geese share with ducks for now until I can build more pens. The guineas will free range (maybe) when they grow out.

Oh, forgot the pen of meaties waiting to be butchered. They will relinquish their pen to the banties & the banties will give their tractor to the showgirls within the next 2 weeks. That will give me another free pen outside to move the last of the quail in the basement to.
