Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

I understand that. I drive 30 miles a day to get to work. I work in state college. But I love where we live and where I work so I guess it all works out for me. Lol

My Aunt and Uncle live in State College. Nice town but has gotten way to crazy with main campus being there. My grandparents lived there at one time. Funny, I can remember fields and woods where there are shopping strips, houses, and Wal-Mart. My Uncle retired from Penn State, so did my dad. Lol. My how things change. My grandpa has a house in Port Matilda now, he is in his 90's, he still insists on driving himself to Fl every fall. Still, I would love to move upstate at some point. :)

I am thinking of getting Bourbon Royal palm turkey crosses. Has anyone had these before? Can they mate naturally? Never had turkeys before.

Never had turkeys yet, would like to. If I could only get someone who is going to the swap this weekend to bring me back two.....................

We had this type of turkeys whrn I was younger and would hatch some every spring. They were very hardy and did well for us. Plus we would use the surplus as a nice table bird for meals.

Awesome. That is what we are hoping to do, raise some for making new turkeys and have some for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Never been around turkeys, just seen the wild ones running around in my backyard and roosting high up in the trees. Was surprised that they can fly up 20 feet to the tops of the trees. I hope my turkeys won't want to join the wild turkeys flock :(
