Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

Thanks it's not extravagant but it will do the job. I made it out of skids, the whole front of the building opens for easy cleaning.

This is my daughter's goat, blue eyed Nigerian Dwarf bred to a blue eyed, black and white ND. We feel certain she has more than one in there. We also bred my girl, tri-colored brown eyed DN to a cream colored DN boy, can NOT wait to see these babies.

Hello, crazy chicken people! Welcome to anyone new in the last 5 days. I hope you are being helped with your chicken math!
Is Sally back? where did she go?
2 funny stories. First, I heard the first broody fussing, and her 3 chicks were peeping. I checked her first, and saw nothing wrong. Five or ten minutes later one chick was frantic, and Baby was getting louder too. Turns out a chick had gotten stuck inside the feeder (climbing up the ramp, then falling in the top of the feeder is my guess).

Second was yesterday in the chick pen. I have one plastic nest box in there still. A small chick had managed to fly up on top of it, and was sliding down, but too scared to spread her wings and fly down. I put my hand next to her to support her, and thought she would get the nerve to fly down. While waiting, another chick flew up, and sat in my other hand.
Okay, the chicks are actually doing funny things daily. The nest box girl keeps perching on the feeder while I am carrying it, and all 3 of the smaller chicks were perching on the back of my boots (the collar thing. what the heck do you call it?) this morning.
In other news I can't walk.

I somehow hurt my back yesterday, and my leg keeps giving out. IDK what I am going to do. I have to empty my old house this week before it goes up for Sheriff's sale (apparently not paying taxes is a bad thing?) in July. DH is going to do what he can. I just hope I am okay tomorrow. So frustrating (and painful!)!!

Aw, I bet that is a cute pic. Hehe

It was...until 1 decided to explosively poop into my hair. Oh well, needed a shower anyway.

At least yours are loving. Mine run like they have an ax-murder chasing them every time we try to get close and don't have food. Sorry for the analogy, I'm watching slasher films while Gavin's still asleep.

That was the 2 week olds...these girls love cuddling. If I go down to the basement and don't get them out of the brooder they fuss up a storm.

Don't you love the adorable things they do? Makes up for when they do annoying stuff. Sorry you screwed up your back. I know how painful that can be!

Yes All I need is a goat that crows and a cow that meows and I'm set

From head spots those are all boys, HOWEVER, I have noticed the head spots on hatchery pullets tend to be HUGE. I got a batch that had been vent sexed with huge head spots that all turned out to be pullets.
Unless they are definitely day old it's hard to tell. Had some that looked like that and didn't know the exact hatch day. Most ended up girls
NEED a home for my two sweet chickies about 10 weeks. I am renting the end of a Townhome in North Cornwall Township. ALL the neighbors loved my chickens. We are at the end of a rural township where there is a farm right on the other side of a row of Townhomes. It is strange how we got a letter from the Township stating the chickens have to be gone by June 26, 3 DAYS AFTER THE LANDLORD came by to paint the porch.

One chickie is a New Hampshire Red, and the other is an Ameraucana. The red one will sit on my lap to be petted. I've enjoyed them so much! And they are very healthy. I've also really enjoyed Backyard Chickens!

Free chickies to a good home! Please call (717)-270-0709 or IM me. (Nora)
Wow your close!
anyone care to write a monthly summary?
