Pennsylvania!! Unite!!

got a question for anyone with an answer... I have just dug-up a 'shoot' from a lilac bush. I tried to keep as many 'feeder-roots' on as possible..not many.., what I need to know is...did I just kill it or am I okay..I mean "it" okay??? I have it in a pot with soil and have watered it well. It is in the shade also. What else can I do to help it along. Oh, and I have it tied to a piece of bamboo for stability.

well, protect it from the summer heat....in the fall, just find a nice sunny spot.....I've dug up a bunch of suckers and given them to friends....some do well and some don't....

I have young flock of French Black Copper Marans. I got them because I wanted the dark brown eggs. I got them from a small breeder and they are turning out beautiful. I suspect they might start laying this fall but probably wait until spring. As a way to pay for my chicken addiction, I was considering selling fertile eggs or hatching them and selling chicks. Do you guys think they would sell? Are they in demand around here? Any thoughts on it at all? I also have a flock of Black Australorps. Would they be more popular?

Depends on their lines. The better their lines, the better they'll sell. It seems that just about every flock has FBCMs. Price them right, and you'll have buyers lining up.

The brown one is Daisy and she is suppose to be a PB Wyandotte. She is the tiniest and least active of the 3. Of course she is my favorite.

Steeler is the second smallest and is suppose to be a PB d'uccle.

The first to hatch is Hatcher (my kids are so clever. Lol) and she is suppose to be a serama Cochin mix but she is huge compared to the other two.
