So Saturday Chad gives me 8 bcm eggs I don't really need. Sunday I put them in the incubator I didn't plan on starting. Last night while I'm at work there was a power outrage, looks like incubator got down to 91 so not a really big deal. I have water bottles in it to avoid huge drops for just such an occasion. I don't have any easy to candle them so they will sit for 18 days, them go to the hatcher to see what happens.
Yes thats right, no weighing, no candling, no anything. Let the Turner do the work and nature take its course. I've seen what broodies do, off the nest, eggs cooling, whatever. This should be interesting.
If any hatch, I would love to buy some off of you, if you are willing, and everything turns out OK with my current flock.
Sidenote- does anyone want a free cat? 2 years old, shots up to date, friendly, named Penguin.
