.... Okay, with the prospect of chicks coming. where would be a good place to get vaccines, that I do not have to buy 100.
I need to get the second half of this CPT testing out of the way...Ginger is calm enough to be handled for it..

I know I will be smacked for this one, here goes...Is it absolutely necessary to vaccinate? and what would be the best ones to give? I realize chicks coming form hatcheries are vaccinated, most of the time,...but how are people handling their own flocks...??? Is everyone doing this? I am not trying to pry...just want to know what is, or should be done... I want healthy birds..above all!! Thank you all...you are very, ummm..patient with me

The mereks vaccine comes in a 1000 dose bottle. Yes you need to do your field portion of the CPT test. It's not required. Mereks is one of the things that chicks from hatcheries are given before they leave. I'm getting a bottle and sharing (clean needles of course)

of course!!..you are sharing??..how does that come out per dose? How long is the shelf life? Would I be able to maybe share with you?

....Sorry so many questions this early...just trying to be pro-active...I have a few vets around here, well..down the road...will be making calls to see who is available or does the state(poultry-people) have a list of those involved with testing? I am asking you cause you know alot...
