Yea for 1/2" plywood your rafters should be 2 feet apart, no more or you will have problems with sagging. 3/4 you might be able to space a little note but I wouldn't recommend it. Did you look into a metal or plastic roof?
Its not a big roof---------------------it will cover the dresser that is my avatar and extend a bit past it to the side and to the back ------I am opening the back of the dresser to make a back deck in the coop.

I cant find good simple pictures of how to make a lean to roof.

Honestly I was just going to have 4 posts on each corner--------------but now given what you say I am not sure..............

I don't know "rafters or trusses " etc...............I have watched a few shed building you tube videos ------------honestly they are still too carpentry advanced for me...............

I did not look into metal or plastic------------because I have been trying to use materials I have or can find via freecycle or craigs list.

I don't know how to cut the corrugated plastic or tin............also................

I do searches for materials yet find I may not be using the correct materials or roofing lingo............UGH............its hard to be such an amateur!

Quote: Rafters are just the boards going across the middle of the roof space to nail your roof to & help support it. If It just needs to cover the top of the dresser & a little past the back side then I would think you probably only need maybe 1 more board down the center for support. Just make a square/rectangle frame about 4-6 inches total smaller on side & end than your roof piece, attach a center support across the middle & attach the roof to the frame. If you make the leggs a couple inches shorter on 1 side than on the other it will give your roof a little slant so water runs off to the short side. Very simple & easy that way.

I'm extremely ticked right now. Among the many other issues we had with JJ's daughter while she was here she also brought bedbugs & lice with her. We found the lice right away & I just found the bedbugs when I was stripping beds. I may have to burn all of our beds to get rid of them. I can't afford to replace 3 beds right now. My son & daughter's beds are full of them (took me a month to find them because the kids usually do their own beds so they had time to multiply quite well) & I'm headed to check my bed now. I kept thinking we had fleas because I would wake up with bites all over me. Pretty sure they are in my bed too since it was my bed she slept in. I was nice enough to sleep on the floor for this spoiled 16 yr old so she could have a bed. She had mentioned (after she was here for 5 days) that they had had bedbugs at her house but swore they had gotten rid of them. OBVIOUSLY NOT!!! If anyone knows where I can get 2 twin beds & a full or queen extremely cheap I will be eternally grateful. Just the mattresses will work but box springs would be great too.
I have a full size bed you may have but I am pretty far from you

Pretty quiet around here tonight! I have another question I am hoping someone will answer. When using Wazine 17, can you continue to eat the eggs? Thanks!

I've used Wazine. I toss my eggs during the treating period and then an extra week, because I like to err on the side of caution. So I treat, 10 days later, treat again and then 17 days later, eat eggs. And the pigs love the tossed eggs, so it's all good.

Thanks for the input. I have read so many posts and articles on here and all over the Internet and there are about a million opinions ranging from never eat the eggs again to the eggs being safe to eat with no withdrawal period at all. You know what? I think I may just keep eating them and see what happens! If in a week from now you don't notice anymore posts from me, everyone will know that you should not eat the eggs!
