I knew someone was going to notice my toes. How emberassing. I got the patterned rug back down, and the furniture back in the room. The sleeper sofa is supposedly from the fifties or sixties, and heavy as heck! The living room is staying that way for a while!
The bathroom is the carpet that I have been wanting to get to no matter what I found. I pulled it back quite a bit a few minutes ago. All I see is linoleum!! The bathroom wasn't built until the sixties.

LOL, don't worry about your toes, mine are still red and blue to go with my white flip flops from the 4th of July

I am going to pull up a bit of the carpet tomorrow while Kaleb is at preschool, if I can find the time between shopping and setting up a 15ft above ground pool (IF it arrives tomorrow) lol

I don't know which is worse, being up most of the night waiting for a mystery animal or having strange dreams all darn night. The worst was the one where I lost nearly the whole flock in one shot. I walked down to the end of the yard and most of them were just laying there, but they were all emaciated and had something funky going on in their abdomen area. The ones that survived looked like Skeksis (Dark Crystal). I woke up and it's around 0200, but I still had to go out and check on the birds.
I blame the mouthful of Canadian maple rye whiskey...or the Ben and Jerry's Greek frozen yogurt.

MCC I noticed the green toes too, matches the one rug.

Lost the OE last night, she was on her side when I found her yesterday, so I'm not surprised. The Cochin is still hanging in. I have her tucked away on a covered porch and our Alpha Roo found where I had the ladies stashed and is hovering. I think he's actually checking on them.

Free to a good home....Is anybody on here interested in an electronic piano?...It is a full 88 keys touch sensitive and is a spinet. The body is in great shape and fully working but it probably needs some speaker wiring work. This was a prototype by ensoniq and the company was sold before they went into production. I've had it sitting around for years...gave it away and got it back....PM me if interested....

BBG- OMG...I thought I was the only geeky thing that like to watch that stuff!!!! I know there are others out there that like it, but few who admit it!! hahahha....Oh those skeksis (sp?), they were awful weren't they??!! I think the things they all changed into when they came together were pretty gnarly too!!

Okay...sorry way too much on this subject..... Have a bunch to catch up on...Hope every ones day is a great one!!! Or at the very least, gets better for you!

Blarney, sorry about the chicken. I hope the other one gets better. I think it is sweet that the "husband" is checking on his wives.
Tweet, this cooler weather is the perfect time for pulling up carpets. Be careful about the dust. I am inhaling a lot, and some is getting into my eyes too.
The bathroom is proving to be a pain with the padding being stuck to the linoleum, and a mystery puddle in the middle of the floor. I can see that the floor under the linoleum has some water damage. I know the floor got flooded when a pipe broke, and no one was here to discover it for goodness knows how long. All-in-all I am happy to be rid of that carpet! Between the dog (he's been having a lot of accidents this week!) and the men that have lived here, that carpet was nasty!

The RIR (may be pure or an EE) roo was doing a decent crow this morning. Yesterday was the first I heard him make any noise, so I was surprised to hear a decent one today.
Anyone want some mixed chicks? I can also offer 2, 16-week-old GLW roos. They are nice looking, but I know they will be going into a pot. Just not mine!

Sorry to hear you lost her... hoping the Cochin makes it through. I love how the roos hover when they think (or know) something is wrong with one of their girls.

Had to have the kitten put to sleep yesterday. She was suffering. Vet said she could hardly hear her heart beat on the one side and suspected that she had fluid/blood building up in or around her lungs. Nothing we could do at that point but end her misery. At least she is at peace now. Sorry I didn't respond yesterday, I was a bit upset....
