How creepy is this, I let the dog off her chain out the front about an hour ago to bring her inside. Just got up to have a smoke and let her out to pee - there is now a fast food drink cup on the gravel near the porch

it wasn't there when I brought her inside earlier as I would have seen it - would have had to have walked right by it. It couldn't have been thrown from a car going past as hubbys second work van would have been in the way and totally blocked it from any direction it could have been thrown, it hasn't been windy either so it didn't blow in - just did a window and door check and found one of the sliding glass doors unlocked that I locked earlier

Good thing our internal doors have locks and chains on them. Think i'll be sleeping with the tazer, knife and the key alarm for the car!!! Friggin odd!!!!!!!
That is creepy!

Hey guys. So i got a batch of 16 chicks early Wednesday. 15 seem fine, growing rapidly, very active. But one little barred rock hasn't shown any feathers at all, while the others all have wing feathers and as of today tail feathers. I have him isolated so the others won't pick, because he has a big bump on his bottom under his vent. It isn't raw looking like a prolapse, it looks like slightly hardened skin formed into a bump. He is very weak, and all he does is sleep. I tried putting neosporin on it, but it doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas on what it might be? Ill try to provide a picture in a little bit.

A newbie question....so I have a pair of 12wk marans...(about one lb) my little roo is about 3.5lbs and he's big enough to hang with the big girls...the girl are 5+ and 6+lbs.....the marans have a few weeks of quarantine to go, but will they be big enough to hang...both my GLWs have been pencil necking though the cage and have tried to peck them a couple of times...needless to say the roo likes the young girls.......

So , i went to the green dragon and stayed till midnight. I now find myself the owner of 7 young jap quail. No one else wanted to buy them at 11:30 at night and i caved and brought them home for a whopping $1.75 total. Anyone else have them?

So the plot thickens about the mysterious takeaway cup near my porch last night .....

I went over to the auction next door today to find out who was going to win the trailer and land, luckily my neighbours got it and their pregnant daughter with her bf will me moving into it - YAAAAAAAAAAY,

we were all worried a pig farmer who was interested in it was going to get it - thank god he didn't, we all would have been moving!!!!

So I am talking to some of the neighbours and one of them was saying 4 state troopers cars were outside his house at 2.30 this morning (he lives directly across the road from me at the top of the small street) - apparently they were people not from this area walking around peoples houses!!!! Steve said he heard the cops asking them questions and they were flat out refusing to answer them.

Also it turns out the "attempted burglary" the other day in town was a load of BS, it all revolves around drugs and the 19yr old that pulled the shotgun on the person waited TWO hours to call the cops. My other neigbour knows the family and their history - said they were all bad news!

So it looks like either when my hubby gets home this coming week or payday in 2 weeks we will be getting a shotgun - if anyone knows anywhere (roughly around our area) where someone has reasonable prices and doesn't charge an arm or a leg could you please message me and let me know.

I really don't like feeling uneasy in my own home when hubby isn't home, especially with our 4 yr old being here too!!

It's not really a quarantine if they are still able to touch each other. I am assuming they are just separated because of the size difference. I keep new chicks separated Neil they are roughly the same size but you can always try putting them together and watch what happens. It depends a lot on the agressiveness of the older birds. It's probably a good idea to keep them apart a little while longer though.

2 years ago we had a woman running up and down our road (she parked her car in a neighbors driveway) knocking on everyones door. We live on a cul-de-sac and across from th state police barracks. She was asking if she could hide in people's houses because "someone was chasing her". I didn't answer the dor because I was picking up my son from school. Now we have 2 rottweilers and we always had a shot gun. Got that when we first moved here. I am pretty sure you can buy a shotgun at Walmart.

That woman must have been high or casing out houses to see if people were home. Whatever, she was bad news. Be safe tweetr!

Omg, speaking of creepy, this just happened. I was in the backyard taking care of the chickens and watering the garden and I hear a car horn beeping. Since I don't live in the city anymore I ignored it. The dogs were barking like mad. My son comes running to me saying, "mom some people are in the driveway looking for you"

I go up the hill and see a white pickup truck with 2 men. I get up to them and they ask me of I want to buy meat from them. They had a chest freezer in the back pf the truck. They said they ars trying to get more business and wanted to sell me steaks for $5 a pound. I tell them no thank you and he keeps going on. I tell him I get my meat from the amish for $3 a pound just to get him to leave. I'm a city girl and I don't trust amyone.
