Here is a question for the people that have had chickens for awhile..or anyone that knows..hahaa..Would it be okay for *Lisa* to use developer feed for all> layer & 6 wk old, and put out oyster shell for the layers? would that meet all the birds needs? So she doesn't need to buy two different feeds(layer&grower)...
I have a question for you *Lisa, are you going to be fermenting your feed? I really like how it has worked for my birds even the babies(2wks)...it can be a bit smelly, but I keep mine in the basement..the chick-feed is blah!
...but I think it has really done great for their poopies, they are more solid and it does not smell! I am keeping them in our office right now and believe me if they smelled they would be out!!..hubby didn't want 'livestock' in the house, but because I showed him this would work..well..they are still in here! Fermenting helps the big-girls too, it it so easy cleaning up after them and the smell is a non-issue.
