Silkie will be in my neck of the woods. I'm about 25 mins away from Broadheadsville. That's just around the corner in Pa distance lol. I do NOT need any birds though hehehe, hubby says we have too many now. Good luck with your trip, have a safe one. :D

Thanks! They came early the next morning and are in quarantine in the garage as we speak. My girls heard the rooster's first crow and now they are so curious about what is in the garage! I can't keep them out of it. :)

Heather, I have the same problem with sparrows, let me know if anything works,,,pigeons I do not fight to much, they stay in the old silo.
The broody leghorn,,,I never trust a leghorn to stay broody for the duration, have a back up plan.
Rose, don't worry to much about the broody, I thought the same thing until I put camera's up...those broody's move around more than you think.
Silkie, I really wish this was not such a busy time, I would have taken the time to meet along the way, the closest you will be to me is the 81 split..and even that is a good 45 minute drive...

Will have to spend some time to catch up with all the newbies, many new names on here....us older folks will take a little longer to catch things up for the winter

MISSY. WE WILL SEE WEDDNG PICS.....OR DO WE HAVE TO CRASH THE PARTY?
 
My dad told me that if I got straight A's all this year (which won't be hard, I only got two B's last year because I got lazy and stopped caring), He'll build me my DREAM coop (the one we have now was quickly built and not well planned). After he builds me my dream coop, I can make the one I have now into a banty coop and he'll build a big run just for them so they can be safe. I've always wanted banties but we have TONS of HUGEEEE hawks around here, and banties are even easier to get snatched up. Or maybe I can make that a serama coop. I haven't decided yet. Decisions, decisions.
